NON-IMMIGRANT VISA “O-A”: Long Stay

Non-Immigrant Visa  “O-A”:  Long Stay

From 31 October 2019, Applicants for a Long Stay “O-A” Visa (One Year Validity) to the Kingdom of Thailand must have a health insurance policy that will cover them for the entire duration of their stay in Thailand.

The health insurance policy must have both an outpatient coverage of at least 40,000 Baht and an inpatient coverage of at least 400,000 Baht. The Applicant may choose to apply for the health insurance policy from a Thai company (the list can be found at http://longstay.tgia.org) or a non-Thai company.

Required Documents (all documents must be completed and legible)

1. Health Insurance Policy

   1.1 If purchased from a Thai company (the list can be found at http://longstay.tgia.org): 2 originals or 1 original and 1 photocopy or 2 photocopies of the Policy

   1.2 If purchased from a non-Thai company: 1 original and 1 photocopy of the Policy only (2 photocopies will not be accepted)

2. 1 original and 1 copy of Insurance Certificate Form, which may be downloaded at http://longstay.tgia.org/document/overseas_insurance_certificate.pdf

3. Passport with validity not less than 18 months

4. 2 copies of duly completed visa application forms

5. 2 passport-sized photos (4 x 6 cm) of the applicant taken within the past six months.

6. 2 copies of personal data form or CV

7. 2 copies of bank statement showing a deposit of at least 800,000 Baht or an original income certificate with a monthly income of at least 65,000 Baht, or a deposit account plus a monthly income totaling at least 800,000 Baht  **In the case of submitting bank statement, 2 original letters of guarantee from the bank are required.**

8. 2 copies of letter of verification issued by the Israel Police stating that the applicant has no criminal record (the documents must be notarised by an Israeli notary agency or certified by the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission accredited to Israel and will only be accepted within 3 months after the date of issuance)

9. 2 copies of medical certificate issued from the local competent authority, showing no prohibitive diseases (Leprosy, Tuberculosis, Drug Addiction, Elephantiasis and Third Step of Syphilis) as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No.14 (B.E. 2535) (the documents must be notarised by an Israeli notary agency or certified by the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission accredited to Israel and will only be accepted within 3 months after the date of issuance)

10. Visa fee of 750 NIS

 

Qualifications of the Applicant:

1. 50 years of age and above (on the date of submitting the application)

2. Not being a person prohibited from entering the Kingdom of Thailand

3. Having no criminal record against the security of Thailand and the country of his/her nationality, or the country of his/her residence

4. Having the nationality of or the residence in the country where his/her application is submitted

5. Not having prohibited disease as indicated in the Ministerial Regulation No. 14 (B.E. 2535)

Note:

1. Successful applicants will not be allowed to work in Thailand

2. In the case where the accompanying spouse is not eligible to apply for the Category ‘O-A’ (Long Stay) visa, he or she will be considered for temporary stay under Category ‘O’ visa. A marriage certificate must be provided as evidence and must be notarised by an Israeli notary agency or certified by the applicant’s diplomatic or consular mission accredited to Israel and will only be accepted within 3 months after the date of issuance)
