All travellers wishing to enter Thailand must complete pre-travel registration via "Thailand Pass" (http://tp.consular.go.th) at least 1 week before departure (the registration requires approval by Thai health officers, who may reject registration with incomplete documents).
Test and Go (no quarantine) scheme has been suspended until further notice, except for those who have already received their Thailand Pass QR codes OR have registered through Thailand Pass registration platform before 22 December 2021 and still waiting for their approval.
Travellers with existing Thailand Pass QR codes for the Test & Go scheme can benefit from the Test & Go (no quarantine) conditions until further notice. Passengers who will arrive in Thailand under Test and Go and Sandbox Programme must undergo their 2nd COVID-19 test using the RT-PCR technique (not ATK self-test) at government-designated facilities (no additional cost).
Travellers who register via Thailand Pass registration system from 22 December 2021 have 3 entry options:
(1) Alternative Quarantine (AQ) scheme (available for those arriving in Bangkok and Phuket)
7-day quarantine at an AQ facility for fully-vaccinated travellers
10-day quarantine at an AQ facility for non-vaccinated travellers
(2) Phuket Sandbox programme (for fully-vaccinated travellers arriving in Phuket only - Transfer through Bangkok to Phuket is not allowed)
No quarantine, but need to stay in Phuket at at least 7 days before travelling to other parts of Thailand
Need hotel reservation for 7 days with SHA+ hotels in Phuket only. Travellers cannot choose hotels in Krabi, Phang-nga or another other provinces (Krabi and Phang-nga are scheduled to be added to the list of sandbox destinations - details to be confirmed)
Travellers must arrive at Phuket International Airport directly from outside of Thailand. They CANNOT arrive in Bangkok and connect their flights to Phuket. Those arriving in Bangkok will be required to enter quarantine in Bangkok under the Alternative Quarantine scheme
All travellers wishing to enter Phuket Sandbox are required to book andpre-pay for their two RT-PCR tests through https://www.thailandpsas.com/ They are required to upload the payment receipt issued through the PSAS system when registering for their Thailand Pass. Without the said receipt, their Thailand Pass registration will be rejected.
(3) Starting from 11 January 2022, travellers may now apply for Thailand Pass to enter Phang Nga (arriving by an international flight landing in Phuket), Krabi (arriving by an international flight landing in Phuket or Krabi) or Samui Sandbox programme (Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, Koh Tao, arriving by an international flight landing in BKK with sealed route to Samui, or an international flight landing in Samui).
