The Prince Mahidol Award Foundation of the Kingdom of Thailand under the Royal Patronage has opened for nomination for the two Prince Mahidol Awards 2024 in the fields of (1) Medicine and (2) Public Health. The Awards are conferred annually on individual(s) or institutions(s) for their outstanding and exemplary contributions to the advancement of medical and public health services for humanity throughout the world. The prizes for each Award consist of a medal, a certificate and prize money of USD 100,000. The award presentation ceremony will take place in Bangkok in January each year.

An individual or a group of individuals or the institution may be nominated by a national medical/health authority or by an individual or a group of individuals as a candidate for the Award. The nomination form below as well as further detailed information including the list of the Laureates could be found at www.princemahidolaward.org. The nomination can be submitted online through the website, or to the Embassy to be further transmitted to the Foundation. The deadline of the nomination is 31 May 2024.

The Prince Mahidol Award Foundation was established in 1992 to commemorate the Centenary Birthday Anniversary of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla, the father of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and the grandfather of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua of Thailand, in recognition of His Royal Highness’ exemplary contribution as “The Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand”.
