On 9 August 2018, Miss Janpen Saejao, a Thai citizen who works in a moshav in the Eshkol Region as an agricultural worker, was hospitalized after she suffered severe injuries from rockets fired into the Eshkol region in the early morning hours of 9 August 2018.

The Embassy would like to inform that on 9 August 2018, the Labor Attaché, along with a representative from the Eshkol Regional Council, visited Miss Saejao at the hospital. Her condition is now stable and hopefully she will soon recover.  

The Embassy would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to Soroka Medical Center, the Eshkol Regional Council, as well as Miss Saejao's employer and employment agency, for their efforts and the care given to Miss Saejao.   

The Embassy has also issued an announcement to Thai people in Israel asking them to keep updated on the situation as well as strictly follow the guidelines of the local authorities.
