On 17 May 2024, Ambassador Pannabha Chandraramya welcomed Brig Gen Gal Hirsch, Coordinator for the Captives and the Missing of Israel at the Royal Thai Embassy. Brig Gen Hirsch expressed his deepest condolences to the families and the Government of Thailand for the decease of the two Thai hostages.
Ambassador took this opportunity to ask the Israeli side to give priority to rescuing all hostages including the remaining 6 Thai hostages, and bringing back the bodies of the deceased to hand over to their families. Brig Gen Hirsch said that Israel attaches great importance to bringing all hostages including all the dead bodies back to Israel.
