On 15 August 2023, H.E. Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Ambassador of Thailand to Israel, led officials and staff of the Embassy and Team Thailand to donate and sort gently used clothing, kitchen equipment, and children's toys from the Embassy and Team Thailand to WIZO (Women’s International Zionist Organization), a non-partisan international movement dedicated to the advancement of the status of women, welfare for all sectors of Israeli society. The donated items will be sold in WIZO’s second-hand shops, raising money to support WIZO’s activities that aimed at improving the welfare of women and children in Israel.

 

This donation is the Royal Thai Embassy’s activity for “doing good deeds” to commemorate the 91st Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, and in line with Her Majesty’s unwavering commitment to promoting the well-being of women, especially mothers and children in need.

 

Mrs. Anita Friedman, Chairperson of World WIZO and Mrs. Ora Korazim, Chairperson of WIZO Israel, welcomed the Embassy’s team, gave a short briefing about WIZO and expressed their appreciation for the donation, which will help raise the necessary funds for WIZO’s various projects and activities to improve the welfare of women and children in need, especially victims of domestic violence. On this note, Ambassador Chandraramya commended WIZO for its active roles for women and children, and expressed hope that this activity will mark the beginning of future cooperation between the Embassy and WIZO for the benefits of those in need.
