Marriage Registration at the Royal Thai Embassy, Tel Aviv or in Thailand.

Documents required for Thai males or females:

- Original of certificate of marital status issued by district office in Thailand and legalized by Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

- Original of passport and Thai ID


Documents required for non-Thai females:

- Original of passport

- In case of Israeli citizens

Original of certificate of marital status issued by Israeli Ministry of Interior (Misrad Hapnim) shall be translated into English, then notarized at Public Notary, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (At Jerusalem)

- In case of other nationalities

Original of certificate of marital status shall be translated into English and legalized by their local authorities/embassies in Israel.


Documents required for non-Thai males:

- Original of passport

- Letter indicating type of work and salary or a bank statement which shows income. (In English)

- Two written references from responsible Israeli citizens stating about the relationship of the couple. (In English)
 

- In case of Israeli citizens

Original of certificate of marital status issued by Israeli Ministry of Interior (Misrad Hapnim) shall be translated into English, and then notarized at Public Notary, Ministry of Justice, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (At Jerusalem)

- In case of other nationalities

Original of certificate of marital status shall be translated into English and legalized by their local authorities/embassies in Israel.

 

NOTE: For Israeli citizen wishing to marry under Thai law in Thailand needs to follow these steps.

             1. All documents shall be legalized by Public Notary and Ministry of Justice, and then legalized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of State of Israel and Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv. 

                As for the legalization of documents at Royal Thai Embassy, the original document and its copy are required.

                  - The fees are NIS 90 in cash per Embassy stamp requested.

                 - Office hours: Mon.-Fri. 09.00 - 11.30 hrs.

             2. Translation of the required documents from English into Thai.

             3. Once in Thailand, Israeli national is requested to contact Legalization Division, Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand (3rd floor) in order to proceed for translation of       the legalized documents from English into Thai.

             4. Registration of marriage can be done at any district offices in Thailand.

             5. Following registration of marriage, the couple can obtain the marriage certificate and a copy of the marriage registration book (both in Thai).

 

NOTE:  Israeli national wishing to register their marriage status under Israeli law after registration of marriage at district office in Thailand, need to take the following steps:

1. Translate marriage registration documents from Thai into English.

2. Contact Legalization Division, Consular Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand to legalize the marriage documents and its translation.

3. Contact Israeli Embassy in Bangkok to legalize marriage documents. The documents can then be used to register marriage under Israeli law at Israeli Ministry of Interior (Misrad Hapnim).
