The Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv and the Thai Community in Israel organized the Thai Festival in Israel during 14-17 July 2009 in Rishon Lezion, Haifa and Moshav En Habsor to promote interest in Thailand and encourage people-to-people contact between Israelis and Thais.

The public events were very popular and featured contemporary Thai cultural performances as well as plenty of Thai food, products, massages, arts and handicrafts and Thai boxing demonstrations.
