On 9 February 2010, Ambassador Chatchawed Chartsuwan announced the 1st prize winner of the “Thailand Through Israeli Lens 2010” photo competition at the 2010 International Mediterranean Travel Mart (IMTM 2010) in Tel Aviv.

The competition, which invited Israelis to share their vacation photos of Thailand, drew over 1,200 submissions. 30 photos were short-listed for the photo exhibition at the IMTM 2010 and 4 finalists received prizes including full travel packages to Thailand as well as cameras.  

The “Thailand Through Israeli Lens 2010” photo exhibition will tour the Ayalon and Dizengoff shopping malls before being displayed at the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok.

In his remarks, Ambassador Chartsuwan noted with satisfaction that over 130,000 Israelis choose Thailand as their holiday destination every year and expressed his appreciation to the travel industry for helping to strengthen the close ties between Israel and Thailand.
