In the evening of 28 June 2023, Pomelo Town, a renowned Jazz band from Thailand, performed a quartet with original music at the Jerusalem Jazz Festival which was held at the Israel Museum. H.E. Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Ambassador of Thailand to Israel, was also among the 150 attendants at the performance.

This is the first time that the 4 members of Pomelo Town, who are also faculty members of the College of Music, Mahidol University, performed in Israel. The performance enabled the audience to witness the music ability and talents of the band members, giving the fresh new impression of Thailand as a country that has a rich and vibrant music community.

The Jerusalem Jazz Festival, now in its ninth year, presents a diverse and rich program that brings together jazz artists from all over the world. This year, aside from Thailand, bands from the United States of America, Germany, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Bulgaria, Morocco, and Mali  were also invited to perform at the Festival.

The Royal Thai Embassy extends its appreciation to Turkish Airlines for the support in bringing the artists from Thailand to Israel, and to the organizers of the Jerusalem Jazz Festival for the coordination with the Royal Thai Embassy which led to this successful performance.
