Minister of Labour of Thailand had a meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel

On 27 May 2024, H.E. Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour of Thailand met with H.E. Mr. Avi Dichter, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel in Beit Dagan, accompanied Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Ambassador of Thailand to Israel. Minister Dichter led the Thai Minister of Labour to visit a demonstration vineyard for wine production within the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Beit Dagan, close to Tel Aviv. The Thai Minister expressed gratitude for Israel's care of Thai workers in its agricultural sector and proposed increasing the annual quota for Thai workers from 6,000 to 10,000, which was welcomed by the Israeli side.
Additionally, the Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development guided the Thai Minister to explore innovative flower cultivation techniques at Danziger Company's flower farm, a leading global exporter. They also interacted with Thai workers as well as internship students from Asian and African countries at the farm.
